Influenced by the office locale, the artwork is a reflection of time and tide. The organic curvatures of the charcoal rock forms are representative of the curved steps seen along the Clarke Quay & Boat Quay riverside. The soft smudged grey tones of charcoal reflect the imagery of the steps fading into the water's edge, while the curved lines capture the ebb and flow of the river, affording the viewer a meditative feel. Another common sight along the river are bumboats cruising leisurely. Taking inspiration from their colourway and movement, Dawn applies the iconic colours into terrazzo shapes that overlap the rock forms, giving us a different perspective of the boats moving about the river.
